Our certified and registered respiratory therapists are selected through an in-depth hiring process that exceeds those developed and recommended by the Joint Commission of Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations and meets all license criteria under DC Department of Health/Board of Respiratory Care and the American Association of Respiratory Care and the National Board of Respiratory Care's creditialing process.  Only those who have consistently demonstrated clinical competency and overall superior performance qualify for employment. 

Educational Programs

CLA has discovered that the major reasons for staffing deficiencies usually fall in the areas of personnel with varying levels of confidence, skills, training and experience. The inability of all personnel to meet the demands of specialty care units is simply a matter of proper training. Our therapist and education consultants can develop “specialty care” programs to address these issues and raise the entry bar for the standard of care in specialty areas, instill team motivating strategies, and generate recruitment and retention programs. To achieve and exceed the JC/DOH care standards, CLA institutes and maintains a “refresher” program for staff regarding “best practices”. The “refresher” program builds confidence, skill sets and practical experience.
